WHY WE EXIST
At the time, those going through PCS season 2018 experienced what was believed to be the worst moving season until then. Many things missing. Many things damaged. It felt like rock bottom. During that time I wrote a blog site that shared the military lifestyle from the spouse perspective. I wrote an open letter to our elected officials and senior military leaders about a general family's grievance of the process. After it was posted someone said it would make a great change.org petition. I uploaded it and posted the link in the comments. Suddenly we had everyone talking about PCSing - the media, Congress, the moving industry, and TRANSCOM.
As I started having the conversations and sharing the experiences, one thing I learned was that there was a lack of education about the policies and regulations that govern the PCS process. I didn't want there to be more "there's a regulation somewhere that says this is wrong." I wanted families to know the regulations, and be empowered to push back when things weren't going well rather than be scared of retaliation. And that is how PCS Like A Pro was born.
