What the dislocation allowance is for, and where to check this year’s rates.

DLA (Dislocation Allowance) is an amount of money to help with the other non-reimbursable expenses of a PCS, such as rental cars, extra lodging days that are not covered, shipping a second POV, restocking your pantry and more.

DLA rates are set by calendar year, so the amount you receive depends on the year you move.
