Adult Things
Packing private items discreetly, from canvas boxes and batteries to OCONUS rules.
Some folks have no problem with these types of things being seen and packed. Others have concerns and want more privacy. If you are the latter, here are some easy tips to help you get through packing days without the awkwardness.
- Use a canvas box with a lid to pack these items, and toss in a shirt or some socks. These boxes can then be packed into bigger cardboard boxes.
- Remove the batteries and ziplock bag your liquids. Both batteries and liquids should be tossed or moved with you. If it is rechargeable, consider letting the charge run out before packing it. I’ve heard some good stories of things shifting and getting bumped, and suddenly there are vibrating boxes.
- Wrap lingerie in tissue paper or towels and pack it in the canvas boxes.
- Clean your items before packing.
- Larger furniture and equipment: you will likely need to disassemble your sex room yourself. Use similar canvas boxes for smaller things, and padded packing paper to wrap larger items. If your room is extensive, make sure items are specifically listed on the inventory, or keep your own list of the furniture with links in case of damage.
- Consider a partial PPM to take these items with you, if you are able.
- Going OCONUS? Double check your gaining country’s laws. Some prohibit items of a sexual nature.
